The first reunion on the 40th anniversay of our graduation and commissioning

To All Classmates, OC 20-69

Just call this my “After Action Report”!  What a great Reunion.  Here are a few examples of comments received from Classmates or their wives:

“An awesome Reunion!  I never thought it would turn out the way it did.”

“It was a great Reunion!  Reconnecting again was wonderful!”

“The Reunion far exceeded my expectations and it was very special for me.”

“The experience was so uplifting that since I returned home I have been walking on air with a new energy in my step.”

“I just wanted to let you know that I am still enjoying the Reunion every time I think about it.  What a great time.”

“Not having any kind of military background, I did not know what to expect.  Actually, truth be known, I expected a bunch of ‘Buzz Light Year’ military types, and was pleasantly disappointed.  I just thoroughly enjoyed it all!”

“A big thank you to those who spoke and helped with the program in any way on Saturday night, also. My only regret is not having more time to spend visiting with everyone, so naturally I would be interested in getting together again whenever possible. It was immensely enjoyable to see how successful everyone has been in all their various fields of endeavor.”

“Another ’thank you’ for a job well done seems totally inadequate as I recall the great time we all shared in Columbus last month but it will have to until next year!  I think we should set a goal of each of us trying to coax a classmate who missed this years’ event to join in next year and perhaps we can run the attendance well past 100.

I also want to thank my ‘most senior’ (we met the first day of Basic) Army buddy, Ron Milam, for the super job of filling the total MC role Saturday night.  Between ‘Wally’ and Paul it was a night to remember.  I also hope my friend George Stunyo was able to use all the liquor we bought for the Saturday “after party” (that got shut down) to bribe his and Brenda’s way out of Columbus!”

“We have to do it again soon.  I thought of a dozen or so Basic, AIT, OCS and Korea stories to share on the way home.”
